Mykola Shcherbatiuk

Graduated from the Kyiv T.G. Shevchenko State University, specialty of Plant Physiology and Ecology. He is a Candidate of Biological Sciences, specialty 03.00.12 – Plant Physiology (PhD), researcher at the  Institute of Botany. The thesis titled «Phytohormones during intercalary growth of Zea mays L. stem» was defended at a session of the Specialized Academic Council of the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, NAS of Ukraine, diploma ДК № 001299. Mykola is the author of over 170 publications in scientific journals. His research work deals with studies of the physiological mechanisms of plant growth and development regulation, plant cell ultrastructure investigation. He has mastered the methods of plant cultivation in vitro, isolation and cleaning of phytohormones, proteins and pigments. Mykola is a specialist in preparation of plant materials and other natural and artificial agents for the investigation using the scanning and transmission electron microscopes. He is the member of the Ukrainian Society of Plant Physiologists and Ukrainian Botanical Society.
